D r. Alissa Anita PALUMBO HÖGGER is an attorney licensed to practice law in New York with a special interest in international commercial law and international commercial arbitration.
Dr. PALUMBO HÖGGER completed her dissertation “Modern Law of Sales in the United States” magna cum laude from the University of Basel in November 2013. From 2009 through 2013 she was served as a research and teaching assistant at the Private Law Chair of Prof. Dr. Ingeborg Schwenzer, LL.M. at the University of Basel. During this time her primary responsibilities were to assist with the Global Sales and Contract Law Project and to coach the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot Court. Alissa coached Basel teams for the 8th and 9th Vis Moot East and the 17th and 18th Vis Moot in Vienna. Before arriving in Basel, she participated in the 15th and 16th Vis Moot in Vienna, representing Pace University.
Additionally prior to moving to Basel she held several internships – including two clerkships in state and federal courts, work at the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York, experience in court administration at a local state court, and in private practice law firms working in personal injury, estate planning, and criminal appeals.
