E dgardo MUÑOZ is Professor of Law at Panamericana University in Guadalajara, Mexico. After completing his law studies in Mexico (Lic., Universidad Iberoamericana) and France (DEUF, Université Jean Moulin, Lyon III), Dr. MUÑOZ obtained an LL.M. from the University of Liverpool, an LL.M. from the University of California Berkeley, and his Ph.D. summa cum laude from the University of Basel. He has been Visiting Scholar at Columbia University Law School, New York.
Edgardo MUÑOZ is the author of the book Modern Law of Contracts and Sales in Latin-American, Spain and Portugal, the first and most comprehensive comparative study on IberoAmerican contracts law. He is also co-Editor and co-Author of the leading CISG Commentary in Spanish: Schlechtriem & Schwenzer Comentario sobre la Convencion de las Naciones Unidas sobre los Contratos de Compraventa Internacional de Mercaderias, published by Thomson-Aranzadi Spain.
Dr. MUÑOZ spent over six years working in Switzerland within the international arbitration and sports law group of a leading law firm, as well as in the Global Sales Law project led by worldwide renowned expert in international contracts Prof. Ingeborg SCHWENZER, LL.M. Before that time, Edgardo MUÑOZ served as an associate in a Mexican law firm advising and representing local and foreign companies in business law related matters.
